(Permanent Cosmetics) Every day millions of women and even some men spend a portion of their dressing routine applying makeup. Whether it’s to enhance their eyes, lips or apply a fading brow. Unfortunately, most make-up wears off, smudges, gets transferred elsewhere or is just applied poorly to begin with. Permanent Cosmetics is your solution to overcoming all of these scenarios.
Women as well as men, busy people with little time to apply make-up, people with allergies to conventional make-up, regular allergies, sparse eyebrows or eyelashes, breast cancer survivors, anyone who desires freedom and convenience from daily make-up applications, those who are incapable of applying make-up, athletic people and those with oily skin who tend to smudge make-up easily, men and women who seek correction of asymmetrical facial features, men and women who wish to look their best all the time.
WHAT IS PERMANENT COSMETICS?
Permanent Cosmetics, also known as intradermal pigmentation is a method of applying micro insertions of natural pigments into the dermal layer of the skin. Intradermal pigmentation is used for a variety of permanent cosmetic enhancements such as permanent eyebrows, eyeliner, lip liner/color and nipple areola restoration.
IS PERMANENT COSMETICS RIGHT FOR ME?
Women are good candidates for permanent cosmetics. The following may benefit: busy people with little time to apply makeup, people with allergies to conventional makeup, people who are physically incapable of applying makeup, athletes who tend to shed makeup easily, burn survivors, people with flaws in their skin and people with asymmetrical facial features.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT RIGHT AFTER TREATMENT?
Topical anesthetics are used to minimize discomfort during the procedure. There will be slight swelling and redness in the skin, which will subside quickly. Patients will be given specific post-treatment instructions, based on the specific treatment area. You may resume most normal activities immediately after the procedure.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT OVER TIME?
Complete healing takes 1-4 weeks while the pigmentation matures and reaches its final color. A 30 day perfecting session is included in the price and will be scheduled before you leave your initial appointment. Everyone heals differently and you can sometimes lose 30% or more of your pigment. At your perfecting follow up session we see how you have healed and we go over what you like/dislike and make any necessary adjustments.
HOW DO I CHOOSE THE RIGHT TECHNICIAN?
Choose your technician carefully by considering their training, experience, and examples of their previous work. Check for licensing, certifications, and be sure they have liability insurance. Ask for references from previous patients.
You should never shop for price in this matter. This is your face and a bargain price isn’t a bargain if the end result is less than satisfactory. There are many technicians who have had inadequate training who are performing these services. The regulation is so minimal in most states that consumers need to educate themselves before deciding on where to go.
Permanent Makeup is truly an art, not just a process. Your goal should be to find a permanent makeup artist, not just a technician. Your results will be only as good as the artist you choose.
You want natural soft cosmetics that enhance your face without being too bold or over done. Color knowledge is one of the most important factors to a quality application of permanent cosmetics. Just look at all the regular cosmetics on the market to see how important color is. You want an artist who understands skin tones and colors that will enhance your face.
Techniques vary for different results so make sure you ask if the artist is capable of giving you the look you want. It makes a big difference in the talent and experience of who performs the procedure. Look for someone who will give you soft, natural results. Take time to check out the artist you are contemplating for services. It is well worth the extra time spent to be assured of quality permanent make up that you can enjoy for years to come.
